Our detailers model the whole frame in Tekla and issue the connection design with the fabrication drawings. Nothing goes to the saw until the engineer has stamped the joint it is going into.

to 18 m · 32 tPlasma and oxy-fuel to 120 mm on a 3 × 12 m bed, with bevelling for full-penetration welds cut in the same pass. Nesting is done from the model, so offcut yield sits around 88%.
to 120 mm · 3×12 mMAG, MMA and submerged arc, with twelve coded welders and WPQRs held for S235 through S460. Every structural weld is logged against a joint number and a welder stamp.
EN ISO 3834-2Staircases, balustrades, canopies and facade support where the steel is meant to be looked at. Ground welds, blended radii and a coating spec chosen for how it will look in ten years, not ten weeks.
Visible-grade finishIn-house shot blasting to Sa 2½, then metallising, primer and topcoat to EN ISO 12944 up to C5-M. Doing it here means the steel is not sitting in a yard somewhere waiting for a subcontractor's line.
Sa 2½ · to C5-MOur own crews and rigging, working to a lift plan issued with the drawings. Site survey before fabrication starts, so the holding-down bolts are checked against the model rather than against hope.

CNC profiling, fit-up, welding and NDT. Each assembly gets a mark number that follows it from the saw to the site, on paper and on a stamped tag.
Shot blast, metallise where the spec asks for it, prime and topcoat. Dry film thickness measured and recorded per assembly, not per batch.
Loaded in erection sequence so the first thing off the truck is the first thing lifted. Our crew stands it, plumbs it, torques it and hands over the bolt records.
Published because it saves everyone a phone call. If your member is longer than 18 m we will tell you that on the first email rather than the fourth.

Twelve portal frames at 24 m span, plus a 10 t crane gantry running the full length. Erected in nine days between two shifts of an operating warehouse.
Four-flight cantilevered stair with a folded 12 mm plate stringer and no visible fixings. Every weld ground flush and coated to a paint spec agreed with the architect on a sample panel.
A 38 m single-span truss lifted in two sections overnight with the road closed for four hours. Weathering steel, no coating, designed to be left alone for thirty years.

A general arrangement and a member schedule is enough for a budget figure. For a firm price we need connection loads or permission to design the connections ourselves. An IFC model is ideal; a marked-up PDF is fine.
Price in three working days. From approved drawings, a typical 200–400 t frame is five to seven weeks through the shop. Architectural metalwork runs longer because the finish work is slower and cannot be rushed honestly.
Regularly — northern Italy, Austria and Croatia, with our own erection crews. CE marking under EN 1090 is in place, so the declaration of performance travels with the steel.
Yes, and about one in ten of our projects arrives that way. We will re-check the existing model and tell you honestly what can be reused and what has to be re-made before we quote it.
